Setesh is the NTR, the divine embodiment, of the principle of opposition. Often mischaracterized as “evil,” Setesh manifests within the lives of all who walk this earth. In fact, existence as we know it could not be without Setesh. Consider the concept of ying and yang, an acknowledgment of the duality of life; in this equation, it is Setesh who represents the opposing force.

Setesh may manifest as a physical or metaphysical obstacle. Often, when we pursue our dreams and goals, we are met with opposition; this is Setesh. One must overcome these obstacles; “conquer” Setesh so to speak, as a testament of one’s desire and determination to triumph. Metaphysically, the obstacles or forces of opposition that we experience in life are outward manifestations of internal struggles. Thus, Setesh manifests as our fears, self-doubt, lack of confidence, self-hatred, emotional instability, etc. As Heru, our higher-self, we must wage war against these manifestations of Setesh that stand in opposition to the attainment of our goals and realizations of our visions. We may find ourselves unable to triumph if we are unprepared, untrained, or heavy with ego.

Intentions: I intend to use Setesh to accomplish my goals. I will become as Setesh, the “Stone Mountain,” standing as an unmovable force opposing any and all things that would stand in the way of accomplishing my goal that is aligned with Ma’at and blessed by the hands of Ra.
