Goddess Serqet
Goddess Serqet
Serqet was the ancient Egyptian scorpion Goddess of magic. She was a protective goddess and a wrathful goddess for wrong doers. She could punish those with the poison of a scorpion or snake, causing breathlessness and death, or she could protect against the same venom. She was also thought to give breath to the justified dead for rebirth in the afterlife.
Gemstones: In ancient Egypt, the color black was believed to be able to control chaos. In later periods healing stones were almost exclusively made from black stone. Black represented fertility, resurrection, regeneration, endurance, and stability. Obsidian was believed to have the magical properties to increase longevity and protection against evil. When placed on the naval area, Obsidian helps ground the spiritual energies within the body.
