Goddess Nut
Goddess Nut
In Egyptian mythology, Nut or Nuit was the sky goddess (also Goddess of the Heavens). She swallowed and birthed the stars, and as such was regarded as a goddess of death and resurrection. Nut is the barrier separating the forces of chaos from the ordered cosmos in this world.
Gemstones: In ancient Egypt blue (irtyu) was the color of the heavens and hence represented the universe. The color blue was associated with fertility, rebirth, and the power of creation. According to myth, the hair of the gods was made of precious Lapis Lazuli (khesbedj). The color blue represented royalty. Stones of this color were the most prized of all gemstones. Lapis Lazuli can repel the negative energies that enter our universe and can bring assistance from Spirit Guides.
Intentions: I intend to courageously change old habits that I cling to out of fear. I will inquisitively seek to understand that I don’t necessarily have to do things the way I am used to. My waist beads will remind me that nothing is will change without my deliberate effort.
Notes: Intentions are provided as a guide. All waist bead designs are unique; the gemstones and color palette will be similar while the finished design will vary.
